AmiNET110 Product Update
This bulletin describes changes to the AmiNET110 which satisfy European legislation for Removal of Hazardous Substances (ROHS).
These changes are now in place for units outside the USA and will be delivered to US customers from October 2006. A new, backward compatible software image is required which will be provided by Amino or the middleware supplier before new units are delivered. The new software allows old and new units to run on the same network using a single image.

· Detailed component changes have been made to ensure compliance with ROHS legislation.
· Enhanced-security Read Only Memory devices have been fitted
· The audio output level may now be set separately for Dolby and non-Dolby material
· New hardware will be identifiable by the first two digits of the serial number. New units 70; old units 10 (EU), 11 (US), 12 (JP)
· Part numbers for ordering have changed to reflect the new ROHS compliant configurations. The new numbers are in the format: A110-5***, where *** is the old configuration number.
· A new software image is required to support the detailed changes described above
· Software builds for HTML/JMACX middleware customers using Fresco and Opera are available via the Customer Support Site
· An updated SDK is available for partners who do not use the JMACX API. These partners will release final software directly to customers after an integration and test phase
· Please provide your Amino sales representative with details of orders anticipated over the next 6 months so we can ensure new software is available before delivery of new hardware
· New software for the 64MB variant will be fully backward compatible with older A110 devices
· Old A110 software images will NOT work on new hardware
· Do not use software older than 0.12.3 on A110 units with the new serial number
